Can you believe another year has come and gone? Although 2020 threw us all off of our game, we were lucky enough to find our footing thanks to Zoom. It’s been one heck of a ride but Street Talk TV has come out stronger than ever!

In 2021, we’ve continued to keep our team and communities safe by staying home and taking our discussions online. This has been tough! We miss seeing our team and not being behind the camera is not what we’re used to.

With that being said, 2021 has turned out to be one of our most successful years yet. We’ve collaborated with the NFVF on building the future filmmakers of South Africa, we’ve launched our show on 2 new channels, and we’ve continued to air thought-provoking discussions.

You can read all about our program with the NFVF here. This was an amazing opportunity to be a part of and we got to meet some incredible voices of Gqeberha.

Stay tuned to catch these films over on our YouTube channel, Daily Maverick, and Cape Town TV.

In other news, Street Talk TV is now available to watch on Mpuma Kapa TV. Mpuma Kapa tv is Eastern Capes first community television station and is accessible on DSTV channel 260. Street Talk airs on Thursdays, 17:00-17:00.

But that’s not all! Street Talk is hitting the streets of Soweto and is now available to watch on Soweto TV. Starting from the very beginning, you can catch our first 2 seasons on DSTV channel 251 and Starsat on channel 488.

One last piece of admin: Street Talk TV has new air times over on Cape Town TV! We’re now over on the Wednesday 6:30 pm, Thursday 11:00 am and Friday 7:30 am slots.

Big ups to the Street Talk team for making this a great year!
