Promoting Empowering Choices
Changing perceptions, breaking communication barriers and promoting understanding: at Street Talk that’s what we do. Now in our 6th year, we’re tackling that BIG TABOO – sex.
As a country inundated with frightening and ever increasing statistics on teenage pregnancy, gender-based violence and the HIV/AIDS epidemic, we saw a growing need to create a space for open dialogue that would eliminate the trepidation surrounding the subject of sex; a space that would promote empowering choices and provide communities with the knowledge needed to deal with the complex social issues surrounding sexual health.
Our answer to that need? Sex Talk, a frank, fun and insightful television talk show hosted by Kgomotso Matsunyane. Last week, we invited a few special guests to Artscape Theatre’s IsiBaya Room, to be the first to catch a glimpse of the new series.
