It’s been an interesting week, from commemorating the tragic events of the 1976 Soweto Uprising on Youth Day to the second State of the Nation Address for 2014; yet nothing has captured the country more than the 20th FIFA World Cup.

All eyes are on Brazil as they host one of the most highly anticipated sporting events of the year. Reminding us of our own great experiences of the World Cup in 2010, and our own passion for the game.

And if you need a little reminder of just how passionate South Africans can be about the beautiful game then have a look at our Gogo Soccer Team episode . One does not normally equate retirement with rigorous sport and yet there is always an exception to every rule. After watching these young spirited Gogos take to the field there can be no question as to just how much passion and enthusiasm – no matter the age – has the power to revolutionise and transform lives.
