An Evening of Creative Expression
We took time out of our busy schedules to attend the opening of the Counter- Currents Exhibition. The event took place at the Guga S’thebe Cultural Centre in Langa this past Tuesday and is a joint effort by the Department of Arts and Culture and the African Centre for Cities. The evening boasted fun events – Gumboot Dancing, video installations and live music- including great performances by Black Noise and Shamie & The AfricentiQ Band.
Street Talk was proud to attend the event as some of our own work was part of the video installations portion of the Exhibition. Congratulations to the Department of Arts and Culture and the African Centre for Cities for hosting a great community event.
