Unemployment, Drugs, and Alcohol Abuse

Season 1 Episode 31

Mon, 7 Jul 2014 7:30pm

“I didn’t really care what I looked like, I didn’t really care what people thought of me, I didn’t care about a lot of things….being drunk every single day was the normal thing for me…..I knew I had a family that cared about me and that didn’t even interest me”

“I asked myself, ‘who are you?’…looking and seeing a reflection of myself, not recognising the person I saw and also realising that everything I could have been…there was nobody else that I could blame, it was all my own doing….”

An eye-opening episode, two former vagrants describe their descent into various vices, including alcohol and drug abuse. They speak honestly about the choices that led them to a life on the streets and the moments of realisation that led them to change their lives for the better. Inspirational.
